I like how you occasionally come across dirty or rusty cars in SR2 (I just had a Bootlegger that appeared to be entirely covered in rust). However, the moment I repair or upgrade them at a mechanic, the dirt/rust goes away for good. I think it would be fun if you could chose to keep cars dirty/rusty even after visiting the mechanic or maybe even have the option to make a normal car into a rust bucket.
Maybe a mod exits for something like that (though I couldn't find anything). If not, I would like to see one some day.
