I've seen a few people mention that it's possible, and some say that it isn't. I want to try and bring some of the SR3 weapons into SR4 as both standalone weapons and skins for existing weapons, specifically the shock hammer. Has anybody actually managed to bring content over, and if so, how did they do it? I'm going to assume that the hammer won't have animations or weapon effects if I am able to set it up as a new weapon, but I can cross that bridge when I come to it.

So if I was to say, import the shock hammer and replace one of the baseball bat or penetrator skins, it would function identically to the baseball bat or penetrator? Hmm, I'd have to find the model and try it out.
