How do I "revert" back to the non Re-Elected branch? Steam & GOG

Hi there,
I've played SR4 on a friend's computer before and am planning to buy it, but I only see Re-Elected in the Steam bundle.
Is it still possible to use the classic, more moddable version within Steam?
How about the GOG version? I personally prefer GOG as it has no DRM.

So as we all know SR4 got an amazing update everybody been waiting for and it's the Re-Elected update. It adds crossplay but also... breaks a ton of mods. Many new people joined the forum recently because the game is also available on Epic but sadly they can't enjoy the modded game either. What...

You can switch Re-Elected to Legacy in the betas tab even if you never had Legacy build before
It's also possible on GOG
But I think you'll be missing all the DLCs that are included in the re-elected build, you can't buy them separately anymore

I got around to checking the GOG forums, and seems there -is- an old build to switch to.
Then I looked up the Steam workshop and saw a total of 429 workshop mods. I'm pretty sure only less than half of those are posted here.
Decisions, decisions...

If you're on Steam, try switching to the Legacy branch in the game's Betas tab:D:luchadores:

I bought the Game of the Century Edition on Indiegala during Black Friday sale. That edition is equivalent to RE but mod-friendly as it is an older version of the game pre-Epic Games
