SOLVED How do I extract the UV layout of a model using Blender?

I already got the tools for extracting SRTT textures, I already got GIMP to edit textures, and I have BLENDER now.

What I need help doing, is to know how to open a 3D model, specifically the player's, in order to extract the UV map of the model, to use as guidelines for retexturing.

Open a 3D model from the game? Theres a plug-in for 3ds max 2013 that allows you to import the CCMESH_PC files. Import in 3d max, export to blender, and check its UV settings. They should be unfolded to fit the texture.

Well, I am trying to get "UV layout" out of the "f_ideal" textures; because I can't get my texture mod right using a 2D editor (GIMP), so someone else also recommended me using BLENDER to get the "UV layout" but I can't even find the 3D model of the player character to get the "UV layout"!

Where can I find the CCMESH_PC files for the player character?

Oh, CCMESH for the boss model? Im pretty sure theres no way to get that 3d model since its not an specific file. But you can download the SDK template from the SRIV workshop subforum. Theres a maya file with the boss model, and it has an unfolded UV layout.

SRTT and SRIV are almost identical, so i doubt theres a difference with the way UV is mapped.
