GOG Connect <-> Steam: Get SR2 on GOG if you own it on Steam

The site is under very heavy demand but GOG has announced GOG Connect where you can connect your Steam account to GOG and get DRM-free versions of some of the games you own on Steam for free; Saints Row 2 is one of the currently eligible games, with the offer expiring in 5 days, which is why I'm posting here.

Make sure to read the FAQ, of course, so you know exactly what you're getting into.

Even if you do own SR2 on Steam I bet you'll have to pay for the game again to get it on GOG. I really don't see this accomplishing anything. If you already own it on Steam why would someone buy it again on a different site?

Edit: Sounds like a ripoff to me.

No, that's the whole point of GOG Connect - if you own it on Steam they *give* you it on GOG.

Like Minimaul said, you get them for free on GOG if you own them on Steam. GOG had already done that with The Witcher games since both the games and GOG are CD Projekt but now they are making deals with other publishers to allow it for more games.

Hmmmm. I connected my GOG to my Steam account, but it says "NO ELIGIBLE GAMES FOUND" even though I have Saints Row 2 on Steam.
It's slow and overloaded. Give it another try and it tends to work.

I keep pressing REFRESH over and over again, and it says "ACCOUNTS CONNECTED". But then it just keeps telling me "NO ELIGIBLE GAMES FOUND". I made sure my profile is public and you can see the game listed in my public profile.
I am disappointed. :(

I sent a message to GOG customer support, so we'll see what happens.

I waited overnight, and the next day it had properly picked up the games in my library.
