Darker night mod

Is there a mod out there that makes the nights darker? I'm currently using GOTR and Enhanced Graphics 2 but the nights still are bright and the only way to make the game dark is if I lower the in-game brightness to 15 or lower and this makes morning dark as well.

You can try one of these mods:
https://www.saintsrowmods.com/forum/threads/firespites-weather-mod-new.14381/
https://www.saintsrowmods.com/forum/threads/sr2-alternate-time-of-day-v6.13390/ (I recommend using version 6) or
You can get the weather and time of day from my texture pack, https://www.saintsrowmods.com/forum/threads/saints-row-1-texture-pack-for-saints-row-2-v3.13964/ (extract my time_of_day.xtbl, weather.xtbl, and weather_time_of_day.xtbl files from my Texture Pack and use them with GOtR.)

I saw the first two links you provided and to me they looked too bright. The third link you provided is pretty good but the nights still aren't dark enough, but the mornings are really good. Is there a way I can learn to combine two different weather mods? I like the mornings in the texture pack you provided but I'm using Masamaru's texture pack and so far and I think this is the darkest night I will find. Also should HDR be enabled with these different weather mods?

I also use Masamaru's texture pack on my game I just replaced his weather and time of day files with mine from my texture pack. I think both texture packs looks better without HDR enabled, also having DOF (Depth of Field) disabled too. The best way to combine two weather mods is to use Winmerge, it's not easy but it does the job, google it. Or you can upload your weather files here and I'll see what I can do with them. You mention you liked the mornings in my time of day file from my texture pack, I can put them mornings into Masamaru's time of day file that came with his texture pack for you.

If you could add the mornings from your weather mod into Masamaru's that would be fantastic. I personally like DOF but not heavy DOFs. I tried creating my own Reshade present for the game and for some odd reason while experimenting only with Reshade a lot of my textures turned into different colors, motion blur created some very strange circles on the screen and the screen would become extremely blur when turning the slightest, and almost all object around me turned transparent. Removing Reshade didn't solve the issue but verifying game files did, strangest issue I've had with the game, other than having a body stuck to my car that literally started controlling my vehicles turns during Snatch.
Edit: Also sorry for bothering you further, but I was curious about the texture pack you made. Does it use assets from Saints Row 1 or does it simply use textures that are close to Saints row 1? Are the textures also higher quality than the default ones? I wanted to use the pack but I didn't like any of the UI changes like the startup menu.

I will start on that project today.

No. we can't use assets from Saints Row 1 because modding from consoles is against rules on this site and those of Microsoft's EULA. The textures used were similar or close to Saints Row 1's textures. I also had Masamaru's permission to use some of his textures in my texture pack, then I modified some of them to look similar to Saints Row 1's textures. And, yes they are High Quality textures.

Here's the modified time_of_day.xtbl file you asked for. Enjoy.

Thank you very much I will try it out as soon as I get on. I just had one more question, but it's not relating to weather. Do you know of any mod that doesn't center the camera and instead makes the camera sort of on the shoulder? I've tried the mod here,
https://www.saintsrowmods.com/forum...d-hud-and-camera-positioning.4139/#post-58994

But most of the times when I aim the camera will lower itself even when I'm not crouching, it also seems to make me move slower when sprinting, but I'm not sure about this.

You're welcome. The only mod I know of would be Over-The-Shoulder Camera (SR:TT Style) by GM1111001. You can get it here https://www.saintsrowmods.com/forum/threads/over-the-shoulder-camera-sr-tt-style.5623/

I've tried this, it seems to over do the whole zooming in when aiming and seems to have a bug with it. Thanks for the help though I appreciate it.
