Hey guys, saw in the uncommon issues thread that the possible fix to my game freezing up, then minimizing itself and ending up crashing was to update the Bink Video Player and I downloaded the only thing from the link provided that was for Windows and it says I have the newest version but, I'm still getting the crash error. I'm only playing single player and the crashes happen at random time intervals from anywhere of only a couple minutes in game to over an hour, and can happen during anything, an activity, a mission or just driving around. Below are the error reports I found related to SR3, the first is just my system deciding it doesn't like running it in DX10/11 and the 2nd is a crash that occurred when playing using DX9 and the 3rd is a crash when running DX11 mode after having updated drivers. When it minimizes I'm still capable of hearing the in-game sounds and my cursor is the SR3 cursor as opposed to Windows'. Also, it doesn't always actually crash it just minimizes with a little black box in the top left and will stay that way as long as I let it, alt+tabbing and reopening doesn't fix it neither does maximizing it using task manager. Was wondering if I'm missing something obvious about how to update Bink or if anyone has an idea as to what else could be causing that type of crash.
Things I've tried:
Updating Bink (maybe?), uninstalling Bink (again, maybe, at least I uninstalled what I had downloaded), updating drivers, downgrading drivers, updating BIOS, reinstalling the game, disabling gaming peripheral software, disabling steam in-game community, playing in windowed mode to begin with.
