Battlefield 1942 is now free on PC & OS X

EA is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Battlefield series, so they made Battlefield 1942 (the first Battlefield game) free to download on their website, along with more information.

FYI, The offer ends March 1, 2013, and is not on Steam

EDIT: Even though "Mac" is listed as a supported platform on the above site, the game requires EA's Origin to run, which isn't yet available on OS X

It's the sole reason I've avoided Mass Effect 3 (and I'm a huge fan of that series.)
 
Eh I just installed Origin and ran the game once to get it to fuck off. Then blocked it in firewall and was done with it.

Didn't miss the multiplayer, junk.
