It would've required patching the game, which would also required them to fix the port. I imagine the team that worked on it was dissolved immediately afterwards. THQ didn't give a fuck.
And unfortunately I don't see it ever coming to PC because the PC code was lost in the THQ sale, so unless...
this would be nice. I can understand the need to prevent piracy, but this would be a nice bit of goodwill towards paying customers should such a situation arise.
yeah, that stream has me completely on-board now. Actual open world gameplay for once instead of going to the open world and then having a shootout on a street corner or rooftop.
I really hope modders are able to make gremlin tech last forever. I can see some fun with ones like Ball Pit and...
between the new trailer and the Fortune stream, I'm beginning to feel a lot better about the game. Especially the part at the beginning of the stream's gameplay segment where they discuss the NPC action nodes. Glad to see that's returning.
The big plot point is that this takes place in a rebooted universe after the events of Gat Out of Hell. The characters as you knew them aren't in this universe.

they did confirm on Twitter that this week's stream will focus on AoM, so hopefully we'll be getting to see proper open world footage of a build and it's not just a walkthrough of the B-roll footage used in various previews
I seem to recall reading on another forum (maybe the official AoM ones before they were shut down) that they recorded a lot of dialogue for each character, so it's possible.
That RPS preview is exactly what I want to see more of. They covered how different characters have different traversal abilities, such as air dashes, vaulting, and (presumably) quadruple jumps.
the issue I have is that they've been showing off way more of the shooter gameplay than the open world gameplay. AoM is an open world game but people are still mistaking it for an arena-based third-person Battleborn clone (they've already downgraded it from Overwatch clone). Saints Row has never...
