    Wierd. Also, Daedalus_Area.xtbl has a line:<Zone_Swap_Name>m6</Zone_Swap_Name> That seems like it must have something to do with zoneswaps, which is what you are working with.

    Weapons Mods.

    New weapons would be hard I would think because of anims and stuff. Modding weapons seems simpler. I made an airstrike which has 100 children missiles as opposed to the 7 it usually has.

    Look in the mod releases section. One of the mods has the Thermopylae and Daedalus restored, and it talks about how to put the bridges down. Like this.
