While skipping through missions using Juiced Patch's F7, I confused the game enough that a Localization String from the previously played Mission replaced the Cash total (of all things)...
The distressed parts can be removed, but there will still be black bars. Everything in "rainbows" in the screenshot below can be modified:
I'll include some cleaner looking main menu designs in the next update. 👍
Xbox 360: It's either "ui_btnmash_360.peg_pc" or "ui_btnmash_xbox2.peg_pc".
PS3: "ui_btnmash_ps3.peg_pc".
PC; You'll want to edit "ui_bms_10.tga_0.png" in "interface_backend.peg_pc".

Donnie works fine for me when replacing npc_homie_gat. (see attached file.)
Donnie's Preset file (npc_donnie_pre.xtbl) even has him on the Playa's Team. Likely because he's planting bombs for you in the first mission he appears in. He does have another Preset file though (npc_donnie_BH.xtbl)...
The best way to make an enemy team NPC a homie would be to edit one of the "homie" preset files (Eg; "npc_homie_troy_pre.xtbl") and change the <Character> to npc_jyunichi.
In homies.xtbl, "<Character>" is actually the name of the NPC Preset file ("_pre"), not the Character file ("_cha"). So...
The ".csc" files are the camera scripts. These files can't really be edited anyway (to my knowledge). But the hex code is different between Xbox and PC. The table files - including lightsets - are identical between Xbox and PC. So the issue seems to be more about how the Xbox version reads those...
I thought SRM was keeping that site alive. Can anything be done, or is it actually gone? @MegaFreeman @Singa @mrsaintsgodzilla21 @Admixon
I have some bits and pieces I could reupload here if need be.
"always_loaded.peg" does what it says on the tin. Whatever's in there will override any other versions that get loaded from other .peg files, regardless of resolution. This is what I used for the ReFabricated Patch. Mainly because I wouldn't have to replace the same texture in multiple .peg...
Yeah. I'm not disputing that. I'd say SR1 has more of a "perceived cohesiveness", while SR2 has a "literal cohesiveness". SR1's clothes do look better, and make the protagonist more recognizable as the protagonist. But you couldn't recreate an NPC in SR1, like you can in SR2, because the...
There are no actual jiggle physics in Saints Row 2. They were faked for a few animations for Shaundi in a Samedi cutscene. It's those animations I've made available in FPA+. You can find them as either a Compliment or Wardrobe Stand under "CUTSCENES > SS10-01".
I do agree actually. But there's something to be said in regards to immersion in having the protagonist look as though they belong in the game world alongside other characters.
The WWE games (my other favourite game series) had a similar issue. Create-A-Wrestlers never matched the fidelity of...
All of this also applies for SR2 on PC. Thanks to this thread, I've managed to replace Playa's body with the leftover bodies used to build Story NPCs during the game's development!
This mod replaces the Playa's body with the leftover bodies used to create story characters during Saints Row 2's development.
This does not work perfectly. You will not be able to morph the face of the replacement bodies in-game.
The body morph can be changed though. You want to play as Fat...
(...and @Spadita ) Glad you like the mod! That specific issue hasn't been fixed yet, and I'm not sure that it even is fixable. I just wanted to put all the affected animations in one place in the "Behind The Scenes" post, just in case anyone does come up with a fix in future.
I've never modded...
