In what order did you kill the gangs?

I always go after the Samedi first, they're the closest to our territory and they also appear to be the weakest gang due to the fact they have the least amount of hoods and their more ''thuggish'' appearance.

Then I go after the Broterhood, a brutal gang with monster trucks and muscular dudes trying hard but not very well organized.

I save the Ronin for the last, because I feel they're more of a mob than a gang with their connections to Ultor, their sports cars and the fact they have an entire island under their thumb.

When you rob poseidons palace in the ronin Jane valderamma mentions the Saint being back "after a long hiatus" so I always assumed the ronin go first. After That you go onto the brotherhood since maero calls you a "washed up banger" he wouldn't call you that if you already have 60% of Stilwater conquered and the two gangs defeated. This leaves the samedi last.

Brotherhood first always made the most sense to me. After finishing the prologue, in the open world, Carlos calls you on your phone to tell you he's set up a meeting with Maero. This always felt the game was gently suggesting them first. Plus, Maero's comments and deal don't make sense if you've already eliminated one or both of the other gangs.

What about Jane valderamma's quote in laundry day? Do you just do the first brotherhood mission then do ronin missions then go back to the brotherhood?

I always thought that the Valderama's quote can work at any time in the story. All the Brotherhood and Samedi story happens behind the scenes and outside of the eye of the media. The robbing of the Ronin casino would be the first time in the game that they were caught on security footage and proof that the Saints were back.

And we safely ignore the news updates on the radio since some of them include errors (like Jane valderamma calling you the leader of the saints when you break out of jail) .after those two you defeat the Samedi , then you play all Ultor missions but right before the last mission you do Ultor exposed, then you kill Dane and julius, and lastly you complete in corporate warfare...
If you wanna go even further..
do the nova spe missions.
Saints row total control.
Undercover
Saints row money shot.

Maero's comment do make some sense if you wiped only one gang, he'd be basically proposing you to keep the hoods you conquered, and give you better/more weapons in exchange of your assistance against the other gang.

I always do the Brotherhood last because they have the best story. Ronin first because they give you the kung-fu fighting style and it is very satisfying to charge kick people.

I started with the Samedi, stopped because I couldn't beat the Bonding Experience mission.
I decided to beat the Ronin and the Brotherhood and now I still need to finish this stupid mission
