Small update on the Texture Pack. We got a new water color for the water surrounding Stilwater! Plus a redone Weather Time of Day that is very close to the one found in Saints Row 1 :D

The water is similar to the water in SR!

Sky color and clouds similar to SR sky color and clouds!

I played around on Saints Row 1 the other night on the Xbox 360 and noticed there are no mountains surrounding the whole city. I wonder what SR2 would look like without mountains?

An update on the water color! A question for people who have played SR on the Xbox360, is this more of an accurate water color from SR1? My 360 isn't reading game discs right now at the time of this post.

Stilwater in snow. Someone make this happen.
Sorry but no, this was done by messing around with the the shaders_pc file, the "snow" isn't everywhere in the game it only happens on dirt soil and certain types of grass.

Should we call it Stilice now?

......I'll show myself the door...
Na, it's me clowning around with the shaders_pc file :D
I did however found how to restore the water like it was in the first game, it's something to do with the shaders_pc file.

I just watched a clip of the cutscene "Taking It To The Edge" in Saints Row as the Protagonist and Dex was in pursuit after Angelo Lopaz and in 0:22 seconds in the video I seen the actual color as you see in the screenshot:

Here's the video

I used a small program called ColorDetector to get the RGB color from the water in the red circle, here's a more up close pic:

So the water color it detected are:
RGB (77, 70, 60).

I used that color in the "time_of_day.xtbl" and it turned out like this:

I'll tell you later why there are little to no reflections on the water this includes reflections of the sky and clouds that you would normally see in SR2.

Another shot under the bridge that used to be a drawbridge in SR1:

Tell me what you think about the water color.

On with the reflections, in the main install folder of Saints Row 2 is a file called "shaders_pc", with that said you can find where it say "data\shaders\internal\cube_map_render_s.fxo_pc" , delete that and save but don't forget to back up the file first, then you'll see less reflections on the water in the game but it's sometimes look weird:
