Buildings & houses models and textures

I'm new and tbh not sure if this is a way to go about this... I was wondering where I can find the model files and texture files for the buildings and homes ( mailboxes signs etc..) and how to extract them, Im not into the character editing.. I do more of buildings and other designs. I would like to edit the textures of some of these models. I have no Idea where to find them. Sorry if this question is out of line. I was just wondering if anyone knows.
