Retexturing Saints Row IV, For Dummies

yeah i might just throw a post on a the ask Volition thread if they can fix the shirt, considering the alpha 1 layer is there in the texture but not active.
 
I'd like to thank the OP and helpful followups for this post. I'd like to think that I'm at least a technical guy and could have figured this out, but I was too lazy to try. So in the (what I thought would be a) fleeting moment of reading a post, turned into something I'm having fun doing.

hah !

finally i have found, easy way for the command window, i just not open it, i just click & drag the gpeg (or cpeg) file in the SR3UnpackTextures.exe and i obtain directly the tga.dds file ^^

more easy for me, i didnt mess and lost time with the command, the file is directly extracted in the same folder (but strangely the file didnt have the same name..lol , for exemple, if i extract the cid_head_high.cpeg_pc, i obtain an DDS file of the kinzie face...lol, thats very strange, but at least, it work, now i just need work a little more with it ^^)

just 1 thing ! when you say this

i have understand i need let the box checked off after selected the asm file, so i make error ^^, just if people make same error than me, dont forget to "check" this box when the asm_pc file is selected. (it was my fault, my english is not good enougth for understand all)

If you have the latest version of Minimaul's tools, you can just run the "Stream2Update" .exe file and it will update all .asm_pc files automatically.
 
anyone know what the morningstar specialist suit is called? i can't seem to find it when searching cm_suit the rest of the clothing goes in order from the store but it seems to be missing the file im looking for

Here's the modded file and the updated ASM_PC file. Just drop them both in your main Saints Row IV file and it should be all set. If you've added mods before and already have a modified ASM_PC file, then let me know and I'll give you a more complicated set of files so you don't mess up anything you've added before this.

If you want, I can upload my full character later and drop you a link and you'll be completely good to go.
