Is the same for Minecraft, you have to buy it again for pc, and it has crossplay with both versions.

The statement is a bit out of context tho, i would wait for an official announcement.

Okay -- I think I misunderstood. I thought it meant we couldn't exchange Forge maps or do multiplayer between the Xbox and PC versions. As long as we can exchange Forge maps and LAN play between the two, I apologize for my previous remark.

Microsoft wants PC players to test its upcoming Halo collection prior to release

Microsoft today announced that as part of its newly released Halo Insider Program, PC players can sign up to test the upcoming Halo: The Master Chief Collection version coming to Windows some time later this year. Here is where you sign up.
