New to Modding

Hello I am new to this website, great fan of SRTT, but new to modding. I have been playing the Saints Row series on PS3 for ages (favorite is SRTT) and wanted to try it on PC so I could apply mods. I recently purchased the SRTT PC version and wanted to know if these Steam mods will work with the PC game, even though the game was purchased retail and not from the Steam community. Please forgive me if this question has already been answered somewhere else (or is stupid o_O) and thanks in advance for your help.
 
Yes, most of them are installed in the root folder, so they work for any version of SRTT. Workshop mods and few others are the only ones that requires the steam version, but SR3 doesnt supports workshop so you will be fine.
