I've played the SR2 campaign several times, still my favourite of all the SR games. I have always managed to complete all of the diversions, except two, which I consistently have trouble with in spite of spending hours and hours trying to complete them. I am playing with the GoTR mod.
1) Escort
I've read a lot of online strategies and tips from various people who say your car is faster than the news vans. I have not found this to be the cases at all. Rather, I have noticed that the vans are doing exactly the same speed as my car, because their 'blips' on the radar -never- falls behind when I am driving straight ahead on a highway. I've tried shooting them, but only when I am trapped, because it's mostly pointless since they respawn. I've tried driving in the incoming lane, which is usually disastrous (for me) but a really good way to 'shake them off' (because they are consistently doing the same speed as my vehicle). I've tried doing a lot of cornering and power slides, which does help to throw them off sometimes. I just find it really annoying when the vans set up a blockade on the highways.... (really, on a highway?). Anyways, I need more help with this. Sheer practice isn't really helping me much. I am pretty certain I've 'plateaued' in terms of my 'SR2 driving skills.'
2) Trailblazer
I don't think I need to mention that the handling for this vehicle is (intentionally) horrendous. I can't corner with the thing. The only way I can make sure not to overshoot the way markers is by going slowly. So I am always running out of time. I try to aim for clusters of pedestrians, drive in the incoming lane, which are the main method for me of getting more time aside from hitting the fire thingies. I do really badly in this activity. I have never gotten past stage 3 for one of the trailblazer diversions. Any more suggestions?
