DNS related downtime

Hi all,

Sorry for the recent downtime. I asked my domain registrar to perform a routine action and they fucked it up royally - causing our DNS to stop working. Their support failed to fix the problem so we're currently using a workaround.

It should now start to work for people when their DNS caches clear.

By the way, the domain registrar in question was Namecheap.

Edit: this has now been properly fixed by my new registrar :)
If you want a good registrar with good (actually competent) support, I recommend Gandi.

In future, if the site appears to be down, please try:

http://89.238.161.171/forum/

and for the few amongst you using IPv6:

http://[2a02:40:1:8:4::2]/forum/

If you're running windows, you can try running the command
IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS
but, that might only be helpful if you're having issues seeing the site, and if you can read this, you can see the site.

Heh.
